An Idea with a Capital I ;)

Hi Elflings! It's me again, the unfaithful poster here on the Life Of An Elf :D sowwy...

ANYWAY I had an Idea and I was wondering what you peeps would think of it!

So I have started writing a series of short stories called Tales From Mirkwood (#cheesy), the main character of which is an Elf named Eriathwen, WHICH IS ACTUAL ELVISH FOR MY REAL NAME. YIPE.

..and my point was: I'm wondering if you readers would like for me to post them on here! I already have one story written, and I started the second one this morning. I can't wait to see what you think!

Tell me your thoughts! And if you would like to add a prompt for a Mirkwood Tale in your comment, feel free! I would love to hear your ideas! (plus I need prompts xD)

THE NEW LOOK!!!

Ohmigosh! Elflings! I finally did it!

I changed my blog look!

Seriously, though, it took me FOREVER to decide because I was so scared it wouldn't look ok, but I think it turned out alright! What do y'all think?

And this was the first time I have changed things by myself! (and here I go making it sound like I change blog looks all the time... :P)

The header picture will probably change, although I kinda like it how it is. I think the solid green behind the words "The Life of An Elf" is a bit dark. What are your thoughts?

And I like the background picture a lot, although, if you look closely, they forgot to crop out the power line on the left xD


I want to thank my amazing friend Ceci, who, although she didn't help me this time, helped me fix my blog when I first started it (because I didn't even know what to do :P), and encouraged me to take the leap of faith and strike out on my own. Thank you Ceci :D

Anyway, what do mine Elflings think about this new look? Are you happy? Disappointed? Neutral? Let me hear your thoughts! :D

So....hem...I have been thinking, and I was wondering about something and by now you just want me to get to the point.

The Point:
What would you think if I changed the theme and possibly some of the layout of my blog?
Tell me what you think! You know, some of my gadgets are gonna end up on the other side of the main body, to prevent me from being "one-sided", get it? xD that wasn't funny.

Anyway! Would you like to see some change here at The Life of an Elf? Different colors? Different theme, maybe? I want to know what you think! FYI, will accept and consider any and all suggestions about anything and everything, so give me whatcha got!

Hey Elflings!

This is not the super long post that I was talking about in my "Quick Update" post, it was more of a spur-of-the-moment idea.

So this evening, I decided to do something silly, namely, a post with my brother Jake!

He will be typing in orange and I will be typing in blue. By the way, this is totally steal-able and you can do it with either your brother or your sister if you want. I am also making up all these questions. :D

How Well Do You Know Your Sibling?

1: What is your sibling's favorite food?

Ha, ha-ha ha ha! This is so easy. Mac 'n' cheese!

No, not exactly. You only left out the half cup of ketchup. :P

I think that your favorite food is, um, mashed potatoes?

Nope! Chicken noodle soup!

2: What is your sibling's favorite color?

#tooeasy Green.

Sometimes. Other time's it's black or even red. ;-)

Yours is turquoise.

Right! :D

3: What is your sibling's favorite pastime?

I'm gonna say either fishing or hunting.

Right. Yours is obviously reading books or blogging.

Um, sorta? and writing books :D

4: What does your sibling hate?

School work? :P I really have no idea!

No, I don't hate school work. I don't know what I hate either! :D

Wait, I know! I hate shooting at a deer and missing it. You'll understand if you're a hunter!

I think you hate... actually I don't know what you hate.

5: What is your sibling's favorite book?

Um, I think he likes LoTR? I really don't know!

My favorite book is To Kill A Mockingbird. 

Yours is The Hobbit or the Lord of The Rings, or maybe one you're writing.

Well yeah. Both of those Middle Earth books. (of course)

6: Who is your sibling's favorite LoTR and The Hobbit character?

I think his favorite is Aragorn and ...Kili? ...I think.... Mine is like so obvious...

Aragorn yes, Kili no. My favorite from The Hobbit is...and this might seem a little weird, but it's Tauriel. I mean, she is like, so...yeah.

Lacy's is...Legolas, of course, and Kili.

Try Legolas in both, and all the dwarves, and Bilbo, and Frodo, and Sam, and Merry and Pippin, and yep, this was a bad idea, and I could list characters all night long, and OOOOOOOOO I FORGOT! Bard and Bain and Sigrid and Tilda and EMIGOSHHHHHHH!!!!! #FANGIRLPROBLEMS

7: What's another good question?

Um, we could do... ooh,  "Favorite Star Wars movie"...

I think Jake's is The Phantom Menace.
