Daaaaaaang that's hard. On one hand, Kili and Fili and Thorin and all those awesome, funny, super-cool Dwarves... and then on the other hand... LEGOLAS AND MEN AND HOBBITS AND A WIZARD AND A DWARF, OH MY

2.  ...ride Shadowfax or an eagle?

Hmmm... I think Shadowfax would be cool, but it did say in the book that he wouldn't let anyone ride him except Gandalf, soooooo... let's go fly an eagle :P

3.  ...travel through Moria or Mirkwood?

MIRK. WOOD. ELVES DFLKJDSLKJFDSLKJ

4.  ...learn to make elvish rope or mithril chainmail?

Hm. Now both of these sound really interesting. Which shall I choose?

Well..... I mean. Sauruman is super scary, but he can't blast me with fire. So even though riddling with a dragon sounds interesting, let's stick with something more my size. ;-)

I mean. He's HUGE.

6.  ...spend an hour with Grima Wormtongue or Denethor?

...eeeewwwwwwwwwww. Ok so both of these... people... are super weird. BUT. I feel like even though Denethor is super messsed-up (like. Who burns himself and his son alive.), I feel like he would be more respectful of me. Not so Mr. Wormtougue.



7.  ...attend Faramir's wedding or Samwise's wedding?

MUST I choose. *cries* I think... I think I'll go to the Shire and leave a present in Minas Tirith for Faramir and Eowyn. Because Sam. <3

Well. Even though Thorin is a bit intimidating and would be mad if I touched his Arkenstone... he's not a freakin' Dark Lord with nine creeps and a bunch of ugly bois in his service... so yeah xD

9.  ...have tea with Bilbo or Frodo?

WHY. WHY the hard questions. Probably Frodo though.

does anyone know where I can get a pet Hobbit, I want one very badly

10.  ...fight alongside Boromir or Eomer?

Ohhhh wow. Probably Eomer, although I love Boromir. Because I just can't. A HORSE-LORD. Plus his hair is awesome and that dude is BUFF.

ASFLKDFLKJDSFLKJSDFKLJ. Mark of the Raven and Flight of the Raven, both by Morgan L. Busse. OH MY GOSHHHH THEY WERE SO GOOD. Many thanks to Ceci for letting me borrow them! :)

I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but anytime I have a heart-to-heart with my mama it makes a mark on my heart. I love her <3

Um... Ceci told me she had a blog and I was like "ooh that looks fun" xD

There's a girl I know from a forum who is always happy and kind. Her name is Maggie. She's an absolute dear. :) I am also inspired by LEGOLAS WHO SHOWS US THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE THE MC TO BE AWESOME my friend Ceci's amazing writing skills. UGH AND WHEN WE WRITE COLLABS. WE BRING ZE WORLD TO LYFE

Writing. It NEVER fails. well unless i'm writing a really sad scene. I have *cough* made myself cry while writing a death scene??

Serskit: a Sand Cat (that's a real thing, look it up)
Zirrelis (aka Zir): my lovely Elf warrior and i love her
Lord Calanon: Zir's amazing foster father Elf CAN I HAVE ONE OF HIM
Arya: another lovely Elf; she's awesome
Delar: yet another Elf, he's the kind that's awesome and can be hilarious ACK MY HEART

Vehiron. He was perfectly described by my fellow author who said "he just seems like the kind of guy to just go outside at night, look up at the stars, and smile". <3 <3 <3

2: Most likely to dance in the rain
Oh man, I don't know!! OH YES I DO. Eucalypta the Dragonoid. SHE IS LIKE. PSYCHED. ABOUT EVERYTHING. ALL THE TIME. and she would totally dance in the rain.

and she would totally do this if she were Spiderman

3: Most likely to look good in a kilt
Ohhhhhhh boy. Coriander. He has a Scotty accent, so. That's a hands-down easy answer.

4: Most likely to get punched in the face
...also Coriander, because he's annoying and can be rude and sometimes doesn't know when to shut up BUT WE LOVE HIM ANYWAY.

5: Most likely to drop everything and become a shepherd
Um, I'm not too sure about this one. Cause like, all the characters from Relics are pretty tough people, aaaaaaand, I really don't know. I can't see any of them being shepherds, honestly...? xD Idk. Maybe Rilien and Calathiel because if they're with their daughter they don't care what they're doing (which is sweet).

6: Most likely to be found in a library
Lord Calanon. He. Luvs. Books. In fact, reading was his favorite pastime before *things* happened. And it's still his favorite pastime. :P

7: Most likely to sleep through an earthquake
Ok, I'd have to say Keystone the Rock Golem. He's like. So chill. 
But don't start fighting him because, as my other author friend put it, "he can be a total war god" xD
And maybe Delar would sleep through it too. 

8: Most likely to steal food from other people's plates
Also Coriander. He's a Master Thief. (so he says) And Delar too. He's my cheeky, snarky son and I LOVE HIM.

9: Most likely to say oops after setting something on fire
ZIR. OHMIGOSH ZIR. She is an absolute sweetheart and would be so horrified if she set something on fire.

THIS IS SO HER.

And if Eucalypta set something on fire she'd be like "Oh, did I do that? Sorry! I didn't mean to! But wow doesn't fire look cool! I like fire. Fire is so awesome, and when I used to get together with friends we'd always light a fire and have fun and dance around it. Oh! that reminds me, we have to have a party sometime soon. Yeah. A party. I like parties! They're great for making new friends. I like friends. Friends are so cool! Oh, by the way, I think I set something on fire." xD

10: Most likely to open an orphanage
Uhhhhh. I'd have to say... wow for some reason Rusa just came to mind. Which is odd because she's the fighter type. But hey, she's an orphan herself so... idk. 
AND WILLOW. She LOVES children, so I could see her doing that.

All of them?? Because like--they can FIGHT? But I think Rilien and Calathiel would do the best because, like, they are SUPER good at fighting, and what is cooler than being married when both of you can kick some serious stuff and are SO DARN COOL. LERKMFDSKL.

12: Most likely to fake their own death
Delar. King of Being Silly And Awesome At The Same Time. :P I love him.

13: Most likely to die and haunt their friends
Once again, Delar. He would totally do that for pranks. Especially on Arya. Because he likes her. :D

Hello hello my Elflings!!!! Time for that super fun and rather overdue post about...

TOLKIEN!!!!!!

Who's excited??? I sure am!!!

WARNING:

You will probably see a lot of italics, caps, and bold letters in this post. That's digital fangirling. :P
ALSO. I might accidentally give some spoilers. Oh well. :P

So first let's break down what I liked about this awesome movie.

LIKE
EVERYTHING??

1: The movie was very well done.

This movie was done very well in the way that their CGIs were uh-mazing. I just can't get over how cool it was. GAH. I'm trying not to start randomly banging on the keyboard by way of digital fangirling, but it's hard. ACK.

2: They included the TCBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DUDE. HOW FUN WOULD IT BE TO HAVE THREE GUY FRIENDS WHO JUST GO TO THIS SUPER AMAZING PLACE CALLED BARROW'S STORES AND TALK BOOKS AND DRINK TEA AND ACT UP IN A PHILOSOPHICAL WAY?????? Oh. My. Gosh. 

So the TCBS (Tea Club, Barrovian Society) was basically Tolkien's buddy club, where he and his friends from King Edward's school in Birmingham, England, would go and hang out. There were nine, apparently, according to this website called Tolkien Gateway, (LIKE NINE PEOPLE IN THE FELLOWSHIP ASJDFLKSADJFLKSDAJFLKSDA) but the movie showed only four, including Tolkien. The other three were Christopher Wiseman, Geoffrey Bache Smith, and Robert Gilson. All of them were HILARIOUS in the movie. GAH IT WOULD BE SO MUCH FUUUUUUUUUUUN.

3: His relationship with Edith was portrayed as very sweet and chaste (for Hollywood :P)

You wouldn't expect Hollywood to go easy on the romance, would you?? Well, in this case I can say they did a pretty good job of keeping it clean. Other than the fact that their first kiss was rather... intense. :P

4: For the most part, all the children/young adults were RESPECTFUL TO THEIR ELDERS. 

Finally, Disney got something right. Tolkien and his four buddies did "defy" authority once or twice in the movie, but THEY DID IT RESPECTFULLY. They always gave their reasons for why they wanted this or did that, and they didn't try to say "I'm right and you're wrong, Mom/Dad/Other authority, so shut up and stop being such a KILLJOY". Applause for Disney. Thank you.

5: THE COSTUMES.

AAAAAAAA MY GOSH. THE. COSTUMES. 

I WAS BORN IN THE WRONG CENTURY.

Actually I was born in the whole entire wrong WORLD, am I right. I belong with the Elves in Middle Earth. Ahem. 

And now!! What I didn't like about Tolkien.

1: They left out how Tolkien's Catholic faith was a MAAAAAJOR part of his life.

Darn. This one's a real bummer. They did show him and his fellow schoolmates singing "Immortal, Invisible, God only Wise", but Tolkien was kinda like... off in La La Land? xD the expression on his face CERTAINLY wasn't one of paying attention. And they sorta made his priest-guardian grumpy. Well. He was an old man, and he was human. Idk. As long as it isn't taken to the extreme. I'M WATCHIN U DISNEY

And... that's it?
